Η Δρ Αντωνία Μαραζιώτη είναι Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Φυσιολογίας και Διευθύντρια του Εργαστηρίου Βασικών Επιστημών στο Τμήμα Φυσικοθεραπείας του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου. Έλαβε το πτυχίο της στη Βιολογία από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών και το μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα ειδίκευσης και το διδακτορικό της στις Νευροεπιστήμες από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης. Πραγματοποίησε μεταδιδακτορική εκπαίδευση σε διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένα ερευνητικά εργαστήρια στα πεδία της Καρδιαγγειακής Φυσιολογίας και Αγγειογένεσης (2008-2011), της Βιολογίας Θωρακικών Κακοηθειών (2011-2017) και Στοχευμένων θεραπευτικών προσεγγίσεων με τη χρήση της Νανοϊατρικής τεχνολογίας (2018-2020). Το 2021 η Δρ Μαραζιώτη εξελέγη Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Φυσιολογίας στο Τμήμα Φυσικοθεραπείας του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου.

Η Δρ. Μαραζιώτη έχει δημοσιεύσει πάνω από 35 ερευνητικές δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή περιοδικά με κριτές με >1.500 αναφορές, 7 κεφάλαια σε επιστημονικά βιβλία, πάνω από 50 συμμετοχές σε διεθνή και Ελληνικά Συνέδρια και έχει λάβει πολλά βραβεία. Είναι μέλος Επιστημονικών Εταιρειών όπως American Physiology Society, European Respiratory Society, European Neuroscience Society, Hellenic Society of Physiology, Hellenic Thoracic Society. Dr. Antonia Marazioti is an Assistant Professor in Physiology at the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Peloponnese. She received her bachelor’s in Biology (2001) from the University of Patras and her MSc (2004) and PhD (2007) in Neuroscience from the Crete University School of Medicine. She carried out postdoctoral training in different research laboratories in the fields of Vascular Physiology (2008-2011), Biology of Thoracic Malignancies (2011-2017) and Nanomedicine (2018-2020). In 2020 Dr. Marazioti enrolled as a Research Associate of Department of Pharmacy in collaboration with the FORTH/ICE-HT Institute in Patras, where she developed research strategies for studying molecular physiology aspects of Bone Regeneration (Horizon program 2020-2024). In 2021 Dr. Marazioti was elected Assistant Professor in Physiology in the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Peloponnese.  She is a founder member of the Basic Science Laboratory, the Erasmus Coordinator, member of the qualifying exams Committee and member of the Internship Committee of the Department of Physiotherapy.  

Dr. Marazioti has published over 35 research publications in peer-reviewed International Journals with >1.500 citations, h-index 16 and mean IF: 6.56, 7 book chapters, over 50 participations in National and International Conferences and has been the recipient of several awards, among which the Research Award by the Hellenic Association for Molecular Cancer Research and a Reserarch award by the European Respiratory Society.  Dr. Marazioti has participated in over 10 Research grants, among which 2 ERC grants and 2 Horizon grants. She is a member of Scientific Societies such as American Physiology Society, European Respiratory Society, European Neuroscience Society, Hellenic Society of Physiology, Hellenic Thoracic Society. She has teaching experience in Human Physiology, Pathophysiology, Biology, Pharmacology, Bioethics, Research methodology, Mouse models of human diseases and nanomedicine in drug delivery from 2007 in different Departments and Universities, such as Medical and Pharmacy School of University of Patras, in pre- and post-graduate level. Her current research interests are focused in Cancer Biology, Molecular Pathophysiology of Neurodegenerative diseases and Nanomedicine.
