The University of the Peloponnese, by its 132nd Senate Meeting (4/19-07-2018), approved and follows the Code of Conduct and Good Practice for academic, administrative and research matters.

In particular, the Code of Ethics and Good Practice is a set of principles that aim to raise awareness among members of the academic community so that everyone acts in accordance with the principles of academic ethics and scientific thinking and research, in line with international standards.

The Code states that members of the academic community are prohibited from using the ideas, opinions and words of others without clear and explicit acknowledgement of their source (citation or quotation). Any lack of acknowledgement, even unintentional, is considered plagiarism and a violation of ethical rules.

The Code of Conduct and Good Practice does not constitute a manual of criminal sanctions, but its violation may trigger sanction procedures in accordance with the applicable legislation and the current regulations of the University of the Peloponnese.
