Strengthening the profile of the University of Peloponnese in the national and global arena through specific actions of internationalisation and outreach is one of the main strategic priorities for UoP. The encouragement of collaborations with domestic universities and research centres, as well as with academic institutions abroad for the exchange of teaching and research staff and students, is expected to bring significant changes and improvements in the way the university organises its academic and research activities. Particular emphasis is given on the development of various educational activities in the framework of EUNICE Alliance.
The individual objectives and strategies for achieving the objectives of Internationalization and Outreach are presented below.
Development of international strategic partnerships with foreign institutions
- Support existing partnerships (EUNICE) and establish new ones with universities and institutions abroad
- Examine and further develop partnership opportunities in the context of internationalisation and outreach
- Cooperate with foreign private and public institutions through participation in research projects and programmes
- Organise bilateral lectures of teaching staff in cooperation with foreign research institutions
Increase of the percentage of student and staff mobility in the framework of ERASMUS + and other international exchange programmes.
- Enhance the mobility of Greek outgoing students, teachers and administrative staff through the organisation of relevant workshops
- Strengthen the cooperation with the ESN and EUNICE student networks
- Increase UoP participation in European research projects, such as the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA), which enhance the exchange of students and academic staff by providing the opportunity to work in multicultural environments.
- Participation of students, teachers and administrative staff in EUNICE mobility related activities and programs
Strengthening UoP Outreach
- Participate in the development and successful implementation of European research projects
- Develop and establish in cooperation with other universities joint undergraduate and graduate programs in, other than Greek, languages
- Organise international conferences and workshops in various scientific fields
- Promote educational and research activities through the website and social media of the University and the EUNICE portal
Attracting international students and faculty
- Strengthen the organisation of foreign language courses, seminars and laboratory exercises for postgraduate or undergraduate programmes to attract foreign students
- Organise foreign-language summer schools at undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Organise and participate in Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) and summer schools in the framework of the EUNICE Alliance
