Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στη συσχέτιση γλωσσικών και γνωστικών ικανοτήτων παιδιών και ενηλίκων με νευρολογικές, νευροαναπτυξιακές και νευροεκφυλιστικές διαταραχές. Το ερευνητικό της έργο είναι δημοσιευμένο σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, ενώ αποτελεί συν-συγγραφέα της πρώτης ελληνικής Δοκιμασίας Γλωσσικών Ικανοτήτων Ενηλίκων (ΔοΓΙΕ).
Από τα μέσα του 2020, συνεργάζεται ως εξωτερική επιστημονική συνεργάτιδα με το Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών Νευροαποκατάστασης του Τμήματος Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, προσφέροντας διαλέξεις που αφορούν τη διεπιστημονικότητα και τη συσχέτιση γλωσσικών και γνωστικών ελλειμμάτων σε ασθενείς με Ήπια Γνωστική Διαταραχή και Νόσο Alzheimer.
Τελος, τα τελευταία 18 χρόνια διατηρεί ιδιωτικό κέντρο Λογοθεραπείας στα Ιωάννινα, ενώ πολύτιμη κλινική εμπειρία αποτέλεσε η δεκαετής συνεργασία της με το Κέντρο Αποκατάστασης και Αποθεραπείας Ιωαννίνων
Dr. Anastasia Nousia is Speech Language Pathologist and recently Assistant Professor of the Speech Language Therapy Department of the University of Peloponnese (Speech Language Therapy: Language Disorder). Her PhD was in Medical of University of Thessaly (subject: Cognitive and Language training in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment and mild Alzheimer Disease; excellent) and postgraduate degree in Psychology-Counseling (excellent). The next period, Αnastasia Nousia is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Ioannina (subject: Language skills of children with ADHD and the relationship with executive functions).
The last ten years she has been working as Academic Scholar in the School of Health Sciences, Department of Speech and Language Therapy of University of Ioannina and Patra. From 2014 to 2022 she was external collaborator in Rehabilitation Center and she has scientific manager in her private speech language pathologist with neurodevelopmental neurological and neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. MCI, mild AD, Parkinson, Brain Injury, ADHD, Apraxia, MS) for the last 13 years.
Finally, she has participated in research programs exploring language and cognitive skills and the articles have been published in respected journals.
