The Department of Performing and Digital Arts and the Department of History, Archaeology and Management of Cultural Heritage are participating in an exciting European Programme Blended Intensive Programme – BIP, Erasmus + entitled «Cultural Archetypes and Symbols in Sacred Art» organized by the "1 Decembrie 1918" University of Alba Iulia, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://en.uab.ro/
Romania and St Cyril and St Methodius University in Veliko Tarnovo, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.uni-vt.bg/eng/ Bulgaria, with the participation of students and professors.
The University of the Peloponnese has a participatory role in this BIP, which offers participants, in addition to innovative ways of learning, teaching and training, cultural experience through lectures, discussions, educational excursions, traditional dinners, and the opportunity to explore the cities in which it is implemented.
The program will begin with workshops, in person, at the Higher Education Institutions of Romania and Bulgaria, which will host our students and professors, for a week, and will conclude with online courses.
From the Department of Performing and Digital Arts, Dr. Matsoukas Panagiotis (Special Educational Staff) participates by giving a relevant lecture, as well as 7 undergraduate and postgraduate UoP students.
This BIP is yet another educational offer of the academic alliances of the University of the Peloponnese, through collective efforts of those involved in UoPs strategic internationalization actions, which have been developing steadily over the last 2 years.
More generally, the innovative BIPs within the framework of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme include the mobility of a group of students funded by Erasmus+. They have been designed to promote the use of innovative learning and teaching methods and to exploit opportunities for online collaboration.
To date, participants/members of our academic community of UoP at BIPs offered by the collaborating Universities and EUNICE European University have expressed great satisfaction, both for the knowledge they acquired and for their overall participatory experience. According to them: "I would definitely participate in such an exchange programme again, as it improves my skills, promotes inclusion and facilitates my access to mobility, opening up new horizons for me."
