Σύντομο Βιογραφικό ΣημείωμαΟ Δρ. Χρήστος Τρυφωνόπουλος είναι Καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής και Τηλεπικοινωνιών του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου και μέλος του Εργαστηρίου Συστημάτων Λογισμικού και Βάσεων Δεδομένων (SoDa Lab). Στο παρελθόν έχει διατελέσει Πρόεδρος του τμήματος, Διευθυντής του ΠΜΣ “Διαστημική Επιστήμη, Τεχνολογίες και Εφαρμογές”, και επικεφαλής του Τομέα Συστημάτων Ομότιμων Κόμβων και Διαχείρισης Πληροφορίας του Ινστιτούτου Πληροφορικής Max-Plank της Γερμανίας. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στις περιοχές των τεχνολογιών διαδικτύου, των εφαρμογών τεχνητής νοημοσύνης, της διαχείρισης δεδομένων/πληροφοριών, των κατανεμημένων συστημάτων (grid/cloud/p2p/agent computing), και των ψηφιακών βιβλιοθηκών. Έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερες από 100 ερευνητικές εργασίες σε τομείς των ερευνητικών του ενδιαφερόντων και έχει συντονίσει/εργαστεί σε 16 ευρωπαϊκά και εθνικά έργα έρευνας και ανάπτυξης. Έχει διατελέσει κριτής σε κορυφαία διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά και συνέδρια, αξιολογητής ερευνητικών προτάσεων και έργων για την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή και τη Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας, έχει λάβει δύο εθνικές υποτροφίες και τρία βραβεία/διακρίσεις για τις εργασίες του σε διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια.
Short CVDr. Christos Tryfonopoulos is a Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the University of the Peloponnese and a member of the Software Systems and Databases (SoDa) Lab. In the past, he has served as Department Chair, Director of the MSc program "Space Science, Technologies and Applications", and Head of the P2P and Information Management research area at the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany. His research interests focus on the areas of internet technologies, artificial intelligence applications, data/information management, distributed systems (grid/cloud/p2p/agent computing), and digital libraries. He has published more than 100 research papers in the fields of his research interests and has coordinated/participated in 16 European and national R&D projects. He has served as a reviewer for top international scientific journals and conferences,  as an evaluator of research proposals and projects for the European Commission and the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, and has received two national scholarships and three awards/distinctions for his research work at international scientific conferences.
