Participation of a University of the Peloponnese Student in the European Student Assembly (ESA) in Strasbourg
The European Student Assembly (ESA) was successfully held from May 26 to 28, 2025, at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This significant event brought together more than 200 students from approximately 189 European universities, aiming to discuss critical issues concerning the future of Europe.
Participants engaged in sessions across eight (8) thematic panels, addressing topics such as mental health, climate policy, artificial intelligence, and inclusivity. These discussions served as a vital platform for the exchange of ideas and collaboration, leading to the formulation of a total of 80 policy recommendations, contributing to the vision of a more democratic and participatory Europe.
Among the participants was Alexandros Chasapoglou, a student of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese. The student participated in the panel entitled “Unity in diversity. How can the EU foster cultural understanding and inclusivity in an increasingly diverse Europe?”, gaining a unique and enriching experience.
With a strong focus on enhancing its outreach, the University of the Peloponnese continues to actively promote and support initiatives that encourage the active participation of its students in European and international activities. Engagement in such initiatives promotes the development of essential skills while contributing to the formation of responsible, active citizens.
