Partnerships - Agreements
The International Relations Department of the University of the Peloponnese is responsible for developing and managing the University’s international relations with both the National and Global Academic Community.
The University of the Peloponnese strives to be an active member of the broader academic and scientific landscape, continuously and enthusiastically cultivating partnerships across all areas of its activity. Since its establishment (by Presidential Decree 13/2000), and especially over the past two (2) years, the University has made notable progress and achieved significant outcomes in building collaborations with Academic Institutions, Research Centers, Organizations, Public and Private Bodies, and Enterprises both in Greece and abroad.
Many of these agreements provide opportunities for faculty members of the University of the Peloponnese to connect with peers from other institutions, fostering research collaborations and joint academic programmes that benefit the wider academic community. These agreements also support teaching exchanges and guest lectures that contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge. The core objective of these initiatives is to promote not only student t mobility, but also mobility for academic and administrative staff members, for studies, internships, teaching, or training abroad.
In this context, the University has signed Memoranda of Understanding with peer institutions and equivalent higher education institutions in Europe, the Balkans, the Black Sea region, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Near and Middle East. These agreements, whether at the institutional or departmental level, involve a wide range of academic fields and benefit the scientific staff, students, and partner institutions alike, as they enable numerous collaborative activities and engage hundreds of members of the academic community.
It is also important to highlight that the University of the Peloponnese is a member of EUNICE – The European University for Customised Education, a European University Alliance that currently includes ten (10) universities from ten (10) countries: Greece, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, and Finland.
The University of Peloponnese has developed cooperation with other Greek and foreign Academic Institutions, international institutions and organizations, through agreements that aim to strengthen inter-university cooperation, improve the quality of education, and develop academic and student mobility.
