The Regulation of Principles of Research Ethics and Operation of Research, refers to the obligations of the University of the Peloponnese, the rules of research ethics and intellectual property rights.

The University of the Peloponnese has the obligation to protect the independence of researchers and to ensure that ethically sound research practices are followed in accordance with applicable legislation, international rules resulting from international agreements or decisions of international organizations to which the standards referred to herein refer. It shall also provide support and resources for the ongoing support of its employees, including training in the ethical principles of.

The Research Ethics Committee provides an ethical and moral guarantee of the reliability of research projects conducted at the University of the  Peloponnese. The Research Ethics Committee checks whether a research project is carried out with respect to the value of human beings, the autonomy of the persons involved, their privacy and personal data, as well as the natural and cultural environment.

It also checks that the generally accepted principles of research integrity and the criteria of good scientific practice are respected.
