The University of the Peloponnese vision is to provide its students with a rich and high-quality educational experience and at the same time to produce research and new knowledge of high standards, for the benefit of society both locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. All activities of the University of the Peloponnese will be carried out in an environment of academic freedom and equal opportunities, with full respect for academic ethics, democratic dialogue and diversity, and with full support of inclusivity and diferations.
The University of the Peloponnese, serving its mission, aspires to transmit existing knowledge through teaching, to produce new knowledge through its research activities and to form responsible citizens, sensitive to social needs. At the same time, it aspires to provide its students with the necessary means for their scientific and professional careers and promotes the development of the entrepreneurial spirit in its students as well as the integration of practical training in its study programs.
It seeks to develop its relations with the local community, to contribute to addressing the social, cultural and development needs of the region and to be a driving force for its development, disseminating scientific knowledge. At the same time, he has placed internationalization among his priorities and builds his European and international profile daily and consistently through his research work. It has developed an institutional policy to support European mobility and offers additional funding to cover part of the students' travel costs.
It has set quality and its assurance as the primary objective and condition of its operation and activities and aspires to consistently form flexible and effective control procedures that will support the production of its educational and research work.
Based on Greek legislation but also on the principles of academic progress and social development, the vision and mission of the University of the Peloponnese as determined by the Rector's Authorities and the Senate are summarized in three axes:
