In their speeches, discussions and interventions all the speakers referred to the indefatigable and valuable action of the Arcadian diaspora, which is due to their competitiveness, their morals, their selflessness but above all their desire for Arcadia.
In this context, on Monday, July 29,2024 the Rector of the University of Peloponnese, Professor Dr. Athanasios Katsis, in the section about the "Education-Health" in Arcadia, referred to the institution and its place on the educational map of the country. Specifically, he proposed the establishment of a Museum of the Arcadian Diaspora located in Tripoli, which could be a point of reference for all Arcadians, with the support and cooperation of the Academic Community.
Dr. A. Katsis referring to the concern of preserving the Greek language, history and culture, proposed the operation of a summer school for expatriates, in Arcadia, geared towards helping young expatriates to develop valuable language and cultural skills according to the good practice followed by the Philology Department of the University of the Peloponnese in collaboration with the Pan-Messinian Federation of America and Canada. He also mentioned that the housing problem faced by those studying at the University's departments located in Tripoli directly affects the creation of summer schools in the area. This matter, as he noted, will be solved with the construction and operation of a university campus in Tripoli, in the facilities of a former hotel unit, which now belongs to the University of the Peloponnese.
Finally, the Rector of the University of the Peloponnese referred to the future plans of the University, which is to connect the knowledge produced with local entrepreneurship.
