Rector's greeting

In the last line of Alfred Tennyson’s poem Ulysses, the namesake hero of Greek mythology is portrayed as follows:

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield

The path of the University of the Peloponnese reflects the will, the effort, and the willingness to explore for the benefit of both the institution itself and the wider society.

We aim both at the development of new knowledge and the formation of a democratic ethos, especially for the new generation.

Our guide is the values of academic excellence, open dialogue, and inclusivity.
