
The annual Study in France Fair, co-organized by the French Institute of Greece and the French Institute of Thessaloniki with the participation of many French Universities and Higher Education Institutions, was successfully held in 2025. This event is a day of information and cooperation and aims, among other things, to enrich the field of teaching and pave the way for ambitious European scientific projects. As expected, it brought together a significant number of distinguished Academics from Higher Education Institutions, including Professor Efthalia (Elia) Chatzigianni, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, International Relations & Outreach of the University of the Peloponnese and Professor Efstratios Tzitrtzilakis, Vice Rector for Finance and Digital Transformation of the Univeristy of the Peloponnese.
During her second participation, upon invitation, at the annual fair, Prof. E. Chatzigianni, had the opportunity to learn about the new study programs offered by French Educational Institutions, and to attend thematic lectures on studies in France. During the Exhibition, both Vice-Rectors met representatives of French Educational Institutions and foreign Institutions, participated in productive meetings to exchange good practices and explored possibilities for cooperation between the University of the Peloponnese and Higher Education Institutions of France and of the countries participating in the Exhibition, focusing on the creation of student exchange programs and joint research. In addition, they were informed about the latest trends in transnational education, while providing information on the University and research programs offered by the University of the Peloponnese, as well as on student life in the cities where the Institution is based.
The strategies following the Greek University Institutions for academic attracting students and staff from abroad, the retention and utilization of talents (brain gain), is now a priority of Greek Higher Education, which, following the strategy of the European Education Area, aims to strengthen the internationalization and outreach of Greek Higher Education Institutions as well as to strengthen the geopolitical position of the EU.
