FRAGKAKI GEORGIA

Georgia Fragaki studied linguistics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (BA, 2002; MA, 2005; PhD, 2010). Her PhD thesis explored the role of adjectives in evaluation and ideology in opinion articles. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in linguistics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Open University, and the University of the Peloponnese. She has also participated as a member of research teams and as a consultant in numerous projects involving the compilation of Greek corpora, including the “Diachronic Corpus of Greek of the 20th century”, the “Diachronic Corpus of Greek of the 19th century” and the “Spoken Corpus of 2025 Greek”. She is the author of Introduction to Corpus Linguistics (2015, co-authored with Dionysis Goutsos, in Greek) and Introduction to Digital Humanities: A Practical Guide (1st ed. 2023; 2nd ed. 2024, co-authored with Titika Dimitroulia and Dionysis Goutsos, in Greek). She also co-edited the volume Current Trends in Greek Linguistics (2012).
