He is Assοciate Professor of Political Science, and Modern & Contemporary Political Theory. His research interests include modern political theory, theory of democracy, the Greek political system, and political ideologies. His current research is focused on the relation between extremism and democracy. He studied Political Science and International Relations at Panteion University (1995). He holds an MA in Social and Political Theory from the University of Sussex (1997) and a PhD in Political Theory from Panteion University (2004). He conducted postdoctoral research in Social Sciences under the auspices of the Athens School of Fine Arts (2007). He has been teaching in the university since 2007. He has also taught at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government as well as at the Hellenic Open University. He is a country expert (Greece) for the Varieties of Democracy Project (V-Dem), The V-Dem Institute, University of Gothenburg since 2021. He is the author of the following books: Silent gaze: On Rousseau’s political theory (Savvalas 2012) & Introduction to Political Ideologies (SEAV 2015).
