The University of Peloponnese has as its mission the provision of high quality education and research, while at the same time supporting the social development in which it is part and develops.
To carry out its mission, the University of Peloponnese applies the following quality policy, which covers the axes defined for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area and is directly linked to the strategic planning of the Institution:
Organization of the quality assurance system. The University of Peloponnese:
monitors and complies with the national and European higher education framework
cooperates with the supervisory authorities (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Health, etc.)
implements the Foundation's strategy and internal quality assurance system
evaluates and adjusts the course of actions at regular intervals
promotes the achievement of objectives through open processes.
Participation of Faculties, Departments and other units of the organization, as well as members of the academic community in quality assurance. The Departments and Schools, as well as the administrative units:
ensure the implementation of student-centered learning
they ensure the connection of the education provided with the labor market
ensure the production of high-quality research work in cutting-edge scientific areas, in full compliance with the rules of ethics and ethics
apply the directions of the ESG (Environmental Social Governance) framework to management, including in particular the principle of transparency
promote and encourage, both at unit and individual level, active participation in external evaluation and accreditation procedures.
encourage members of the academic community to actively participate in decision-making bodies and internal evaluation processes at all levels, as well as to highlight dysfunctions and areas for improvement, with the aim of substantially improving quality.
Promoting academic integrity and freedom:
an ethical framework is drawn up and implemented for academic practice and research
cooperation with the competent authorities is promoted.
Promoting a culture of tolerance, inclusion, equal opportunities and equal treatment of members of the academic community through:
fostering dialogue, tolerance of diversity, democratic functioning and gender equality
support for vulnerable social groups.
Participation of external agencies and organizations in quality assurance. The University of Peloponnese:
cooperates with supervisory authorities (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, etc.)
collaborates with authorities and social actors in the context of regional development policies through innovation and the implementation of knowledge-intensive policies
promotes the connection of education with the labor market.
To support all the above directions, all the infrastructures of the institution are developed and maintained, especially the digital infrastructures.
The success and progress of the Foundation depends on the substantial contribution of each of its members, who must contribute and be accountable for the achievement of the University's goals. The final purpose of the internal quality system is to help the academic community in establishing a culture of participation, accountability and democratic dialogue for the progress and development of the University of Peloponnese
